If you had to give up ring bling for just 2 sets only....

This is a bit of Fun.

I have amassed a few rings in the past 2 years since i found pricescope .....and it got me thinking.... choice is great to have. BUT, if you had to limit to 2 sets of rings - one for the left hand and one for the right hand; what would you choose. Yes, i am limiting choice.

eg Left hand= E ring and Wedding band is considered one set. The RHR as the other set.
Stackers can be counted in but if they complete the look ie you are not allowed the option to wear them alternately- one day you wil have 2 stackers and another day you have 4 stackers. yes i am being mean as i know some of you have plenty of stackers and you could say that i put them all on so that you can have the choice!!!!! hehehehe.

BONUS points for pics....

I would start:
Right hand: currently ( ) square emerald cut (asscher) solitaire and the carre eternity.
Left hand- rolling diamond ring. I am having difficulty attaching this pic. will try later. i cant seem to upload it. it is the ring on the right in my avatar.

Fun! I my left hand would be my ering and my plain pave eternity band. Right hand would be my aquamarine halo. Done.

Easy for the right hand - my EC that I bought for myself for my 40th birthday, with my mum's carre band (EC shown with a 2mm titanium band):




More difficult for the left hand, however, based on my current collection of rings, it will be the larger ruby heart in a diamond halo:



It is a bit too blingy for every day wear, therefore, I am hoping to have this ring made, so that I can wear it all the time:



The new ring will have a pink sapphire centre, about 1.5ct, concave cut by Richard Homer. The side stones can be white sapphire or diamonds, or purple sapphires, still to be decided. Inspiration of this ring came from this ring that I saw and liked:

Thanks Greg, it will be a while before I can have that ring made, as my budget has already been eaten up by various jewellery projects, a new car, and big holidays, planned for 2015 and 2016!

JA- that quadrafoil is divine- one of a kind.. That asscher ette- hmm me thinks solitaire with milgrain and a gallery of sorts... That is what I see at the mo.... Not that I am psychic or anything.. That us what my gut tells me.
Your mums solitaire is gorgeous.

Adopting as our daughter - me thinks little miss 3yo will not share. We are trying but she doesn't like to share. We think it's a phase and she will grow out of it! Here's hoping, right?? Well until Miss 10mo can hold her own!!!!

You have asked me a question I honestly can't answer! The AVR would be one, but I am not sure yet about the band as I am contemplating changing it. For the right hand, the three Beaudry rings are my favorites and it is too hard to choose just one! But if you forced me, I think it would be the asscher with pink kite sapphires just because it is the most unique of the three. I love the two blue stone rings, though!

thank you! I found that band Saturday at my local B&M.
I wish I knew who made it - the B&M won't tell.

My wedding rings (1.52 ACA on 3mm scattered diamond band & Tiffany Etoile band). Disclaimer: This is subject to change because I have a .55 ctw channel set band coming from WF in a few weeks that will be switched out with the Etoile band.

Picking a RHR would be tough. I wear an EC diamond RHR a lot, a EC ruby RHR, a pink sapphire / diamond in rose gold band a lot but I think my favorite gemstone ring is a 6.5 mm Kentucky Blue Sapphire.

I had a marquise for my right hand. But my mom had told me it was "exactly what she wanted" and she only had a few 20 pt solitaires and a w band... Anyways I gave it to her for her birthday this year.

So now I'm waiting on a ring that will quickly be my staple right hand

Unfortunately, no, I am not keeping the 5 stone. For an engagement ring, a solitaire sings to my heart more than a 5 stone band. The 5 stone was made to tide me over for what I thought would be a few years before I found "the one." But I fell in love with the 2.21 and that sped up the process. I wish I could keep both, but two large pieces like that do not fit my lifestyle right now.

No, i havent abandoned it. it is in the pipes still. they are casting this week- Woo hoo!
I just thought of this thread cos i have a few rings and i am very fortunate to have the ability to have these choices to make. Then it got me thinking... what i would have as my staples...if i could only have 2 sets- or if i got robbed or could no longer work and had to sell the bling but keep 2 sets kind of thinking.....

I hope that makes sense....

My two favorites. My 4.56 OEC that reminds me of my grandmother and my dh everytime I look at it and my 1972 Cartier black opal ring that my mother gave me years ago. Both rings are beautiful to me and I also have very happy memories associated with them.

Hubby just saw this picture, reading over my shoulder. He typically rolls his eyes when he catches me reading on PS, but this time, he said "Wow, that yellow ring is kinda cool". That means it's really awesome, Dreamer! I think it's time for me to kick my consolidation into high gear and get a 5 stone. I've only been lusting after one for years!
