If you could only keep returning to ONE vacation locale, which would it be?

Let''s say you could never go on vacation anywhere but this one place. What would you choose?

I''d choose Nice, France. Some of the happiest times of my life were in southern France.

You?

Greece! I have only been once but would love to go back - there is so much that I did not get to see, yet I was there for almost 2 weeks!

Can''t do it! There are just too many wonderful places that I''ve been, and too many places I''ve yet to visit!

www.curtainbluff.com Have been so many times, have so many fond memories with the kids and hubby. But haven''t been since kids went to college...I really miss it.

Wow, beautiful, Kaleigh!

Venice. Always and forever, Venice. I''ve only been once, but now I''m planning to turn 40 in Venice, and hoping my birthday that year (end of February) will overlap with Carnivale ....

I''m going to help Circe celebrate..... in Venice!!! No place on earth could possibly equal it!

I''d have to say the north side of the grand canyon. Not the most exotic place, necessarily, but FI (then bf) and I had SO much fun on the 15hr drive there, and it was just gorgeous. So many good memories

This is hard! I agree with Princesss -- there are too many to choose between.

I''m debating between Bermuda and Key West (for the tropical, colorful atmosphere) AND Ireland (for the beauty of the country and the friendliness of the people we met).

I have no idea. Since I haven''t traveled very much, there isn''t an "it" place that I could pick at this time.

If I had to pick now or could never travel again. . .I guess Italy?

Italy. We went there as a family, my first trip abroad, stayed in a villa in a little town called Paraza and then took day trips to Florence, Venice, Sienna, San GImignano, Milan, Genoa...AMAZING. We called it the gelato tour of Italy, but e did a lot more than just eat gelato (though we did that several times a day:-)

This is a very hard question, but I would probably say Lake Tahoe since we are considering buying a vaction home there.

Bella - do you have any pictures you can share? I''d love to go to Italy someday. The closest I''ve been is the Venetian in Vegas. lol

My fiance''s family has a cabin in Lake Tahoe. We just drove there with our dog (all the way from Chicago!). It is DOG HEAVEN!

Negril, Jamaica. The most beautiful beach ever and I love the atmosphere, the people and the rum!

I say Australia. Never been, but it''s my dream.

loved Hawii....would love to see each island several times! Not to mention the the great gold, jade and pearls!

Hawaii!! DH and I had the most amazing time on our honeymoon there. Can''t choose between Oahu and Maui though... Lanikai Beach on Oahu is the most beautiful place I have ever been and Maui is just gorgeous on its own. I think I could go to Hawaii every single vacation for the rest of my life and never get tired of it.

Italy!

Santorini, Greece.

Telluride, CO. Been going back there for 20 yrs. It''s so beautiful and there is so much to do if you love the outdoors. And it''s only a 3 1/2 hour flight for us which is nice, too!

Cannes, France... nearby! Southern France is one of the most beautiful places I''ve seen.

MC I do, but they are real pics, not digi so I can''t post (well I could, but it''d be some rough scanning) it was an awesome trip. 3 weeks with my whole extended family, I was in college and my brothers were in HS. it was awesome!!! I hope when I have kids we''ll be able to do a big memorable trip like that for them.

Lake Como, Italy.

Another vote for Venice, the most romantic city in the World! I can''t wait to go back!

I have never been to any place exotic but my favorite place that I have been to so far is The Netherlands. So many great memories....

Glad you had a wonderful time!

My kids have gone on some great vacations but only within the US and Canada. I''d love to take them to Europe someday, but it''ll be so expensive and I want them to be a bit older to have more memories, meaning we''ll be waiting at least four years.

amsterdam.

and from there i can get anywhere in europe anytime i want.

Positano, Italy. We went for our second anniversary, and I get tears in my eyes remembering how gorgeous it was. www.lesirenuse.it

But, my husband and I are renting a villa in Cote d'Azur in April in a town called Beaulieu-sur-mer about 7km from Nice. Best part of the villa? State of the art kitchen and a private pool with views of the ocean through the house from the front door! I have a feeling I'll have an update to this thread in about 4 months or so.
