I would wish for my SO to have a long, healthy, happy, productive life, and after being protected in this life, a quick, painless, death surrounded by loved ones, no matter whether I could be there or not.

ok, i would wish for a long, happy, healthy life with my SO and I dying together in our sleep, all cuddled up in bed.

as life goes, one of us will die a horrible, cancer-riddled death, drowning in our own secretions, while the other looks helplessly on and is left lonely for the next 20 years.

such is life. i see it all the time.

That people wouldn't abuse or neglect living things that can feel pain. I think this is specific enough and yet broad enough to cover humans and animals alike.

Once we get all the peace-on-earth-goodwill-towards-men, cure-for-cancer stuff out of the way? And assuming that I'd trade just about anything for health and happiness for my loved ones?

On a purely selfish level, I'd wish for a book contract, and publishing success. I have a lot of wisdom to share, people! It's good for everybody!

Thank you davi, I was trying to come up w/a way to phrase it too. The only thing I could think of was just for everyone to be *nice*.

I'm with Circe -- after putting aside all the other things (which would be great!), I'm going to go the selfish route and wish for more money. Yes, I know money can't always buy happiness but it can help. :bigsmile:

Complete honesty? I wish I could see beyond my personal desires and wish for world peace, but I would wish for my son to have clear, easily understood speech. I believe that even though he has Down syndrome, he has a great life in front of him. He is only limited by the fact that it is very difficult for him to communicate all that he wants to.

Selfish wish, but that's it.

At the end of this month, my beloved husband will be leaving the country that he lives in, his career, his home, his friends and everything that he has in life, in order to move to the other side of the world so that he can be with me...If i had one wish, i'd wish that God helps him psychologically, mentally, professionally, to make this transition successfully...(that's a huge sacrifice) :blackeye:

No, it is not selfish. I hope there will be better speech therapy modalities available soon.

I would ask for only one thing, and actually, for myself. Health. This is something over what we are not in control. Once you are healthy, things are achievable.

As soon as I read the title, "enough money so that I no longer needed a day job" came to mind. Maybe I am just selfish or perhaps death seems so far away, but at the moment, I really wish I could just dedicate myself to jewelry making and art. It doesn't have to be a lot of money - just enough to cover rent, food, utilities and a little fun money (for books, materials and an occasional splurge).

Health and happiness for all my loved ones! And luckily, my wish is currently a reality. How's that for a big lump of cheese :bigsmile:


On a more selfish note, I really wish for clarity when it comes to choosing a career path. It's not crunch time yet, and I have a good job and all that, but I'm not where I want to be and worse, I'm not sure where I want to go. I know most people my age are in the same boat at one point or another though, it's the nature of the mid-20's, and it will all work out alright. It's just a frustrating area right now that I'd like to resolve.

For my entire family to never have to count pennies or cry because they can't pay the bills ever again.

Yup, that's right. I would wish for money. Because no matter how healthy we all are, our health will be compromised by the amount of stress we have from trying to make ends meet.

No more wish donating, I appreciate it so much but I give the wishes back to you & Dreamer, before the wish administrator gets very confused.

I have one of my own and you know what I have wished for. Just got to keep my fingers crossed now.

OK then ;))

My selfish and mundane with is for a raise at my job of $10k annually, or maybe I would give the $10k to DH since he is in a lower tax bracket than I am :devil: . Not too much to ask, right? 8) It would take a little pressure off and let DH and I do some more fun things, like travel more, finish undone projects in our house, buy clothing so we do not look so unkept :rolleyes: , and basically just have a nicer quality of life. It would also mean that financials would not need to factor into our decision about whether or not to have a third child one day. So since I would enjoy all of those things, that is what I would wish for. I would even be willing to work a little harder for it :cheeky:

That they find a cure for what I have. But no money goes to research as it's rare. It doesn't define me, and won't die from it. BUT it's really been a rough road. So even a day without symptoms would be great.

My other wish is for Casper to live another year. He's our buddy. Can't imagine a day without him.
