what good would it do me when i can''t see the sparkles for myself ?

my diamonds are for my own viewing pleasure not for somebody else''s.

Good thing you''re not a woman.

I do agree that it makes you obsessed with looking in the mirror!!

I personally find pendants, or anything around the neck for that matter, fiddly and do not tend to wear them very often. As a result, I own a grand total of 2 pendants and 2 pearl necklaces.

Earrings, though, are an entirely different thing altogether. I think they really brighten up a woman's face, and make an outfit complete. Diamond earrings are a MUST, IMO and should be the first thing a woman buys for her bling wardrobe. I have more diamond earrings than I do rings, bracelets, watches etc.

Plus, any excuse to look at myself in the mirror!! He he!!

Definately good for looking in the mirror. There is NOTHING like cathing the glimpse of sparkle from my earrings in the rear view mirror in the summertime. That being said, BIG BLINGS are for the finger!

There is something about wearing diamonds that has the ability to make a woman feel really good about herself. Some women feel sexy, others powerful, and others yet feel classy...but wearing them can make you feel brillant. It''s a great thing, and I agree with Phoenix, every woman should (if she can afford it) own a pair...and is can''t afford the real thing, at least own another pair of nice earrings in a fashionable yet less expensive stone.

A small mirror is a wonderful thing.

I like diamond earrings and pendants more than (GASP) diamond rings!
But, I only like to wear my wedding rings, and an occasional right hand ring. I agree I do like to see them, but there is a sense of confidence I get when I am wearing nice jewelry, whether I see them or not. (And with pendants, I can see them on a longer chain, though I prefer a 16" or shorter depending on the style.)

I do like you point though, about seeing them. Esp in good lighting!

DF, why do you wear clothes? Other people see them, not you!

On second thought... PLEASE WEAR CLOTHES!

P.S. Freke has the Sup-A Grannies on speed dial!

LUNCHTIME!

See DF, maybe now you''ll understand why a woman goes to the bathroom so much. It''s not to use the facilities, it''s to admire her diamond earrings.

:) You know... there is some truth to that... I do admire my sparklies in the mirror! (While I say my ABC''s washing my hands! germo-phobe much???)

That would be a picture worth seeing.

I''ve thought the very same thing, as I''d like to get a pendant and earrings to go with my ring, but I keep thinking maybe I''ll just skip them and start saving for a fabulous right hand ring, since I won''t be able to stare at a pendant or earrings all day!

Actually I am with you to a degree DF. I have wonderful bezels from WF and someday I will probably use the stones to make a ring. I have these great ACA diamonds and I don''t get much pleasure from them because apparently, I don''t go and pee much.

Plus they get super filthy in my ears very quickly and I just don''t have the energy to ultrasonic them everyday.

I would never get a diamond pendant because I could see myself somehow breaking it and not noticing.

So as far as fine jewelry goes, it''s only rings for me from now on. I also like fun fashion earrings and haven''t worn any since I got the bezels. However, they are great right now because Amelia would go after anything dangly so these are nice to wear at very little risk.

So....DF, did you start this thread because other posters suggested you turn the 3ct ring into a pendant?

yanno, I feel ya! I have yet to purchase great studs or a pendant, because I LOVE rings--specifically for this reason. I will get those pieces--I''m sure, but I''d rather pick up a new ring any day!

I bought myself a gorgeous pave and filagree diamond locket, and made sure the popcorn chain was long enough that I could play with and see my locket throughout the day.

I agree...just get a longer chain!

And I also agree that diamond earrings definitely to brighten up the face, I have noticed this on myself and others.

my wife''s diamond studs are cover by her hair. why wear them?
Idunno1.gif

COFFEE TIME !!! and then LUNCH TIME !!!

The "fire" in the ACA''s in my ears and around my neck keep me warm in the winter, their iciness keeps me cool in summer and the muscle development I get from tossing my head around to ensure people can see my studs contributes to my overall health.

You can''t see her ears either? Should she lose them too?

That''s one of the primary reasons I don''t often wear earrings, and don''t wear expensive (>$500) pendants. I do like to catch my reflection while wearing some pretty earrings, though.

Being that I''m into fashion, my jewelry (other than rings, which are for my own personal aesthetic pleasure

) is part of the whole package, as opposed to great pieces. Most of my earrings, pendants, and bracelets are relatively cheap (<$100) stuff to coordinate with whatever I''m wearing!

I wonder the very same thing DF. I have some studs that I think of resetting. My thought process always goes the same way. First I look for earring setting ideas. Then I decide they need to be sidestones for a ring!!! I looooove rings. Though, to contradict this thinking, I''d rather have a pendant or earrings than a bracelet.
