It looks like the infamous 0.93 J AVR is back in the GOG inventory.

This makes me wonder, since it's graced the hands of many PS'ers, what is the shortcoming that keeps getting it returned?

It is sort of weird that no one wants to give this diamond a good home!

No shortcomings at all ... I just had an opportunity to upgrade further, so I did - otherwise I would have hung onto it. I hope someone can give it a permanent home!

Stupid question alert!! Did any of you compare this with an OEC? If yes, how does an OEC vs an AVR differ or their similarities? (yes, I know precision and technological advancements etc., but in general...any thought on one vs the other?)
