Does anyone know how to take a picture using the Ideal-Scope beginner''s edition. I would like to take some pictures of my stone under the ideal scope to show you all and get your opinions. Another factor is that it is already mounted. Is this possible? Thanks!

It is possible but challenging to take an "amateur" idealscope picture.....to use idealscope on mounted stone, go to www.idealscope.com and go to "using idealscope " section...

Good luck, and please post pics!!!!

We take IS photos using the pink cone without the magnifier lens from the IS. Therefore, the expert model is not required. These photos turn out very nicely. Just slide out the cone and use a macro lens with proper lighting.

You must use a camera with great macro without the IS lens.
But you can take happy snaps with just the camera and ideal-scope - it is very easy on normal settings with some zoom and flash off.
The $30 ideal light helps

Thanks a lot everyone. I''m going to try to snap some pics before I leave for vacation. I''m happy with the performance that is showing on the idealscope, its just not showing true arrows like a H&A stone will. I''ll post soon.
