Hello,

I''ve made a diamond purchase and I''m hoping one of the experts on here could help analyze my Ideal Scope image and tell me how that translates into optical performance.

Specifically, how does this image measure up in the following areas:

1. Symmetry
2. What do different shades of pink/red/black mean, and how will that translate into optical performance. (Fire, scintilation, brightness)
3. Anything else my untrained eye might miss or anything you find interesting about the image.

Here are the specs for the stone:

1.11ct RB Color G, SI1
AGS0
Table: 56
Depth: 60.7
Crown Angle: 35.0
Pavilion Angle: 40.6

Thanks in advance,

Deggles

One quick question...

Is it an ACA or an ES? I have my thoughts, but just wondered.

It''s an ACA. BTW, how can you tell that from the Ideal Scope image and what does that mean in terms of performance? This is the kind of info I''d love to get from this post.

Thanks,

Deggles

ummm each vendor we tend see around here all have a hallmark look to them - be it the size of the picture, or in this case that blackoutline, the white with the diamond - while, say, Good Old Gold crops its image down to just the white.

ok now on to your questions.

I ran the numbers you put up for the crown and pav through the cut advisor (linked at the bottom of each pricescope page) and it comes back with a score of 0.7 - Scoring excellent in all categories (light return, fire, scintillation and overall performance) except for spread, where it scores a very good - the reason being - the depth is that smigen deeper than what the chart recognises as very good (i believe the grade change point is at 60.3% depth) but that isnt really a reason to throw out the rock.

From personal experiance (while each diamond is different) you wont be dissapointed by this one.

For info about what your seeing there in the IS image have a look here --->

This stone should score excellent in each of these categories:

White light return (brilliance)
Colored light return (fire)
Non- light leakage
Contrast scintillation
Optical symmetry (appears to be of hearts & arrows precision symmetry)

Very nice.
