Ideal Cut with...I1 clarity??

I am thinking of purchasing a 1.47 carat EGL USA certified marquise on Ebay. AGA cut class calculates the stone as class 1A - ideal. Cert says it is an F color, I1 clarity and medium blue fluorescence. Good polish and symmetry. Listing price is $2,750, or best offer.

I am having trouble getting past the low clarity. The picture, even magnified, looks very pretty and the cert looks official. With everything I have learned on Price scope, I think this could be a real value and a decent stone based on the great cut class. But.....that clarity is just...well....screaming at me!

Any opinions out there that might help me decide?

Thanks!!!

I couldn't do it personally, and I don't think of a stone with only good polish and symmetry as ideal. True ideal cut stones have attention to detail and have excellent polish and symmetry. There are exceptions, of course, such as antique stones. But I1 generally means visible inclusions, so I'd be wary and feel like you'd have to see it in person to judge that accurately. Does it have a return policy? What does the vendor say about the clarity?

I just did a random search of marquises on JA and it appears that good/good isn't unusual for this particular cut, but I'm certainly not an expert either. I would be concerned about an I1 graded EGL certed stone. EGL grades quite loosely, if GIA graded the stone it would likely have been an I2 or I3, which implies very visible inclusions and or durability issues. Does the stone come with a return policy? If you are still interested you could purchase it and take it to an independent appraiser for an expert opinion. What is the date on the EGL report?

edit: upon further search there are many marquise with VG polish and symmetry.

Thank you both for your input. You absolutely validated all of my concerns. I will continue my search for a quality stone.
