Hi friends!
I am having DK make this *style* of pendant. These pics are ones from a previously sold necklace. In mine, it will have the bezel holding a stone, but i don't want the scissors to be what hold the bezel and attach it to the chain.

How would you connect the bezel to the chain? I like milgrain, geometric shapes, etc, if that helps. I just can't quite imagine how it could connect in a way I like.

I love this bezel design but need to figure this part out before I give DK the go ahead.

Thanks!

What shape stone are you envisioning for the pendant?

sorry, I should have said that! It will look similar to the one in his original design. Kind of an octogon/octahedron shape (so it will have the 3d look like the picture)

Are you getting rid of the "scissors" altogether or do you still want the scissors but just don't want the chain connected to them
like in the picture?

I like the idea of a tie in with ancient Egypt. Either a sphinx or hieroglyphics

I would absolutely pick something that allows the pendant to spin - maybe DK would be able to drill into the diamond or figure out a clever contraption.

Not “scissors” but ice block tongs, from the days before refrigeration.

Quite a unique pendant, and diamond cut.

Getting rid of the scissors entirely.

I am very confused but still want to help… so you want an octahedron diamond stuck through a plate at a 90 degree angle, with metal coming up from the sides of the plane to attach to the chain, but not crossing in a scissors shape?

Sorry, I'm not being clear. Here's a picture that I marked up.

Essential is want to keep what it's in the circle, and re do the piexes in the square.

If you wanted to keep it simple and geometric, you could do something like this, mirroring the angles of the stone, including in the bale. Will it articulate like the original and spin on the "arms"?

Oooo i like this. Yes, I definitely want it to be able to spin. I think thats a super cool feature

I was also thinking along these lines.

I agree, can’t really improve on that idea if you want simple.

I also like the spinning aspect of the pendant. You just have to make sure the short arms go out far enough out from the bezel to create enough space for the bezel corners to clear them when it spins. You don't have to have a solid bale either, as I drew it. If you wanted, you could have the long arms cross in an "X" and have the chain go through both sides. It just depends on if you like that look.

This is going to be a super interesting pendant. Can't wait to see the finished product.

@RMOO - excellent design idea

Thanks!

That is so cool, have you found your stone yet?
