Is there a SIMPLE way to do this? If so, could someone post it. I''ve been trying but apparently the file is to big.

Try to resave the picture to make it a smaller file.

Open the photo in whatever program you use and go to save as. Then if you look at the bottom of that box - which asks you to name the file, etc, there sould be a section where you chose the quality - choose low (highest compression) and it makes the file smaller. Sometimes that still doesn't work and you have to crop the photo and resave - making sure you choose low quality again.

Once your done with the changes right click on your picture and go to "properties." That should tell you the file size. It has to be less than 100,000 bytes.

It's easier than you think.
Good luck.
Someone else may have an easier way, but that's what I do.

Very beautiful---here it is!

Thank you so much for posting this for me Mara; and thanks for trying to help me Jenibear.
Here's the story: It's an H SI 1, yes EGL, Mark Morrell Hearthrob ring purchased from Cooper Jewelers in Woburn, Mass. Mark Morrell worked there when he was first starting out and he designs settings for them still. Ours, however, is the only one he made with the heart prongs for Cooper's, so I guess you could consider it an original, I do!
I received it on Sept. 13th. We had just returned from a wedding and my boyfriend had planned to propose the next day. His mom picked up the ring for him and brought it to our condo and put it in his golf bag. He knew I'd never look there! Well, he couldn't wait for the next day. So he took me out on our deck that overlooks the Atlantic Ocean, got down on his knee, said some really nice things that I don't really remember because I was so excited, and proposed. I was totally surprised even though I had seen this and and a zillion other rings over the past six months. It was an amazing day. We're getting married in Aug.

Congrats!

Your ring is very beautiful What's the carat weight?

Hey! I'm getting married in August too! And I'm in Massachusetts!

Good luck planning. It's a lot of fun

That's very beautiful, and you have a lovely hand, too. I wish you could post a close-up (of the ring) and more angles. I love Mark Morrell's things!

Mara comes to the rescue...

First, CONGRATS!

Second: "is the only one he made with the heart prongs..."

Do you have any close-up pics of the heart prongs?

Thanks!

Is that a Tiffany style ring?

There was no way I would not hunt down the source: those prongs really look like little harts!

WOW! Thanks for the link. I did see the hearts. Very nice touch. Would add a nice touch to a H&A since you can't see H after diamond is set.

M. Morrell is quite the artist! I need something for end of this year.

Not sure that I could afford his creativity anyway.

Holiday Schedule

We'll be working with current/existing clients and direct referrals for the remainder of 2003. I regret that we will not be able to handle new product development on an "at large" basis for new internet clients before mid January, 2004.

Oooh, I've been waiting to see a picture of that, it's bea-U-ti-ful!!! You must be thrilled. It's so much different "on" than I'd imagined from looking at the pictures on Mark's site -- much more delicate and classic looking. I really, really, like it -- you are a lucky duck. :-)

I was waiting for Mark to do a Heart-throb ring for me, but just yesterday I gave up and ordered another setting from a local jeweler. I have been sitting and looking at my un-set diamond now for almost a month (and at pictures of it for almost a month before that), and I just couldn't wait any longer. To tell you the truth, I'm having a twinge of regret about not waiting for Mark, maybe more than a twinge after seeing your picture, (sigh....) but obviously I was not destined to be part of a club that mandates "patience" as a requirement for joining. :-/

Congratulations on your ring, it's really stunning.

Kris

It's an EGL, I hope that's ok with everyone! It's absolutely clear and soooo sparkly.

Thanks everyone for all your kinds words about my ring. We learned so much on this forum and it shows in the final product. We were so lucky to have found a jeweler that sells Mark Morrell rings and the price was not bad. I think about $8,000 for the whole thing. It was already set and the only one in the store. The plain platinum band that goes with it -- also by MM -- will be about $850. I'll try to post more photos close up of the prongs, or I hope you'll help me again Mara?!
Jenibear, where are you in Mass.? I'm in Beverly; getting married in Gloucester

I'm in Northborough - west of Framingham and east of worcester.
Getting married at a mansion in Barre - out in the boonies, but its gorgeous.

I LOVE Gloucester. I'm sure your wedding will be gorgeous.

Are you a knottie? I am!

AD--take whatever pix you want and send them to me

Congrats! Beautiful ring. I have a ring by Mark as well. He is quite an artist.

for those that are interested in the heart prongs, i know that lazare makes a four prong setting with heart prongs also.

jenibear - of course I'm a knottie; who isn't? I saw a funny post this morning. It's a prom site for girls to post all their prom details. These girls are starting early!!! I can only imagine what the average carat weight for a diamond will be in 10 years, not to mention the cost of their weddings. I teach high school, and the girls are willing to spend big bucks on their dresses, hair, makeup, nails, waxing, etc. I had never heard of most of that stuff when I was 17! I'm always like, "Save something for your weddings ladies!" They just ignore me!!! kids...
