Is there a gem buys anonymous that I can sign up for? I snagged this pink spinel from GemFix and just picked it up this morning. It's a really lovely shade of pink. I don't know what it looks like in sunlight since it's overcast here today but it definitely holds its own under cloudy skies. It turns a bit orange-pink under fluorescent lights but no brown at all. I don't have any photos of it yet 'cause I don't have a camera at work.

Umm, maybe.

Anyhoo, my wretched commute yesterday caused me to arrive home after dark so I'll I have are indoor photos. You can see some of the empties in the background of that first shot.

Well I went outside this morning to take some pictures since it was sunny out. However, when I attempted to open the case I managed to send the base flying one way off my deck and the lid the other way. Fortunately, the stone itself landed (undamaged) on my grill but I decided to quit while I was ahead and give up on picture taking for the day.

I think there is a 12-step online... Or we can start one. Or a subforum? I can not think of a proper name and aspiring to higher power does not appeal to me. But something needs to be done because we seem to know the names of all the cheapest dealers in town... that is a bad sign!
