First off, I just want to say thanks to those that helped me. Many of you know I was debating b/n a Star129 and a traditional H&A. Well, I found this H&A for $6,250. How did I do?

1.285 carat F SI2, completely eyeclean and the entire feather can be covered with a prong.
Diam. 7.02mm
Dep. 4.33mm
Table 54.4%
Crown 34 degrees
Pavil 41 degrees
Culet .5%
Girdle 1.6% medium

Like most guys, I never cared about diamonds before my quest began, but I quickly grew addicted to Pricescope. To be honest, it feels very rewarding to have finally found "the one" (if you all approve, that is). I think I may feel more of an attachment to this thing then my GF ever will :) I can''t thank you ladies/gents enough. Pictures to follow.

It looks to be a really bright well-cut beauty. Congrats on your purchase.

Looks you found a great diamond and we will look forward to seeing pictures!

Thanks, Shay. I actually found this diamond locally. I stopped in just to compare a "g" to an "h" because I was interested in a ACA H. I couldn''t pass this one up, though, especially considering the location of the feather. I am quite happy with it, especially considering the color and size (I didn''t think I''d find something over a carat that I''d like/could afford). Iknow she''ll love it... or else :)

~~I can''t wait for pics...it sounds like a stunner!!!

You''re my diamond twin I hope! I''m hoping to have an F SI2 next week. Ya gotta love eye-clean SI2''s, what value!

Congratulations and can''t wait to see pics of the stone and/or the ring!

Sounds great LB! You might want someone to verify that the feather is not a problem since it sounds like it is near the girdle, though. Do you have a copy of the cert? I''d post it on here so some of the appraisers could tell you if it might be a problem. Don''t mean to rain on your parade or anything, but better to be safe than sorry when it comes to feathers.
