Hello
35.gif
!
My brother in law has asked me for suggestions of websites that sell quality emerald rings...does anyone know of any off hand?
Also, my sister is due with baby #2 in August, and her first son was born in December...he was thinking about a ring that has both birthstones in it and have that be a gift for her having the baby. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you both! I know more about diamonds and where to get those than I do about colored stones, lol.

There are a few on the Artistic Colored Stones site.

I would really encourage him to get the birthstones on two different rings or pieces of jewelry.
Yes, I did mention this to him. He mentioned a ring, but I told him that maybe a pendant would be better with the 2 stones together. He asked me about this place:

Anyone here familiar with them?

Depending on his budget...

For a special piece of jewellery I would prefer to source the right stones or have them cut rather than buy a ready-made piece where you have little control over the quality of the stones.

I would suggest contacting Wink or Richard at www.artcutgems.com. I''ve just bought a couple of pieces - a neon apatite and a kunzite - from him and they are stunning!

Thanks. I am not really sure what his budget is, but the emerald ring would be for her birthday which is a month from now, so I am not sure if he has enough time for that option.

Why not just buy an amazing stone and give that to her for the birthday with the chance to design her own setting?

I could suggest that to him and see how he would feel about it. Thanks!

I bought genuine emerald studs from Jewelsforme and they are actually quite nice.
