Does anyone own the ideal scope? I just purchased it and I am really not sure if I am using it correctly. I am viewing my diamond already set in a four prong setting no opening in the back. I tried putting the piece of paper taped to a lamp shade as suggested on the Ideal scope web site but I dont see red everything looks pink. The arrows look good but it looks like maybe there is some light leakage in the middle but I am not sure. Can anyone suggest and easy way of doing this? Thanks for your help.

If there is a closed back setting then forget the paper, use a strong light.
There is a small section on the www.ideal-scope.com website.

The pink = the red. What you should look for if you can not get light in behind is just as much pink to red as possible and a good dark star (= symmetry).
Any very pale or grey areas are returning less light from the reflector. Hope that helps.

thanks so much for your help I will try using a brighter light.
