I saw this on ebay and it sparked my interest. this ring is SO much like the one I am looking for a center stone for (but haven''t purchased yet). I cannot budget for a 2.45 BUt is this stone junk? Tell me to run away if I need to. thanks.

On the cert it says SI3 which I believe is more like I1 (If I am wrong I am sure someone will correct me). Actually on the appraisal it says SI2 - I1. I can''t see whether there are any visible inclusions as the pics aren''t so good. If eye clean is important to you then I would pass on this.

Actually I probably wouldn''t spend that kind of money on Ebay anway. But thats just me

They don't give you enough clear information on that ring. They give you bits and pieces of information, so there's really no telling what you're going to get when it arrives.

Would you buy a car on ebay based on a bunch of fuzzy pictures?

ETA:

I plugged this into EGL USA's site: 25264901D http://www.eglusa.com/customerlogin.html

It only gives you percentages to work with on the Cut Advisor, and it gets a score of all VG's and a total score of 1.9, BUT percentages are not as accurate as actual angles, so be aware.

It wouldn't HURT to look into it further. Just email her and see if she can fax or email you better copies of the certifications, and what her return policy is.

You''re right, you''re right. Thanks for smacking me back into reality!

I would be concerned about several things...the cert, the lack of clear photos and the amount of money to spend on ebay. Good luck in your decision.

Is your budget $11k? If so, I''d get more info. If not, then move on . . .

It might be legit, right?

Still, I think $11k would be an ok deal if that''s what you''re looking for, but not supergreat. SI3 is priced well below EGL SI2''s even. So I''d try to negotiate a few thousand off of the price first.

Check pricescope on price per carat. D SI3 on center stone. Check if there are other stones out there to compare. Granny can get grandson to take some better pics. You want better pics no excuse. EGL USA is better than EGL so you may just have a genuine good find. Seems the lady is in the gown sewing business from her feedback .... all positive

If I were you I would stay tuned on this one... it may be a very good buy. Do your due diligence and keep the faith but question everything until you''re satisfied.
Will she give you an unconditional money back guarantee?

See ya!

There are two things about the ring that I''m not thrilled with. 1- it''s white gold and I am looking for platiumum. 2- it''s a 4.5 and I wear a 6. I''m afraid it couldn''t be sized right to fit me without changing the integrity of the ring. I love this christopher designs setting, but the picture is awful and that is a load of $ to give someone you don''t know for a ring you can''t hold first....
