I have a ring and a diamond, but no prongs

I just bought a 1.2ct diamond, and I have a Peter Lam Ultra Diamonds Ring with no prongs/setting. What should I do now? I have tremendous trepidation that the jeweler that I bring it to will damage either the ring or the diamond.

Can anyone recommend a great jeweler in NJ?
