So after what feels like an eternity, I finally got engaged and got my ring which I helped design! It is even more beautiful than I imagined! I had to share!
Carat: 2.17
Color: G
Clarity SI2 (inclusion is one crystal and that's it! can't be seen by the eye when set)
11.32x6.89x4.47
Ratio 1.67
Symmetry: VG
Polish: Ex
Fluor: None
Table: 58%
Depth: 66%
Girdle: Thick to very thick
no bow tie
Size 5.5 finger
It is a delicate double edged halo, with 6 pave struts that are under the stone, and a 2mm pave band. The halo is a 1.3 melee with stones that are a little under 1 points. The stones on the band are larger, but not sure the exact size! The thing about this ring is that the ratio of the stone was a little large even though I loved the stone. So the setter "bulked out" the setting to make the pear appear wider and fatter at the bottom. The platinum was used to create what appears to be an extension of the diamond between the center stone and halo, so it makes the center stone's shape appear more of a 1.55 or so!
