And am starting a project with a much more reasonable solution. I found a 3 mm channel set band at Tiffany's (to go with my 2.5 tctw 3 stone. I fell absolutely in love. It was perfect. It was channel set, without being chunky. I almost...and then I remembered. Tiffany's markup, walk away. Then I fell to the other end of the spectrum and thought, "I can buy the exact same thing at Zales!!!!" Wrong. Both wrong for me, at least. Instead, I've been in contact with WF about constructing an eternity or 3/4 eternity channel set 3 mm band! I am so excited. If anyone has any tips or pointers from working with WF, or regarding your channel set band I'd love the input. Both eternity and semi. Is semi eternity helpful? Does it avoid the spinning issue? I want channel because I want to create and element of separation between my ring and my band. I thought I might go with a spacer when I was considering a 7 stone with 6t o 8 pointers, but I feel the channel will give be the stone protection and sense of separation I desire. Any pictures or advice would be great. I'm kind of a novice to this channel set concept, so any recommendations regarding the nuances of this setting would be most helpful!

I love WhiteFlash and have bought many things there, but I will have to say I am a little hesitant when it comes to custom and not being able to try and item on before making an order from any source. I honestly would just buy the Tiffany band. You can often find them second hand on ebay if you spend a little time looking. I have a Tiffany repro e-ring, but I did buy the Legacy band at Tiffany's because I could try it on and I loved it. MissGotRocks bought the Tiffany yellow gold channel set ring and Ame bought the platinum one in the last few months. I am sure WF can make a nice one, but again, I just like to try on that kind of thing before buying. I am afraid if you loved the Tiffany band, it will be hard to get one exactly like it. WF will have great diamonds, though!

I 2nd that. I'd much rather have a 2nd hand Tiffany original than a custom channel set band. They can look SO CLUNKY. Even from the PS recommended vendors. Check out Ame's pretty band. If she can tolerate the Tiffany one - ANYONE CAN.

ETA: Channel set bands are HANDS DOWN one of the items you just are better off buying "off the rack". I think Ame's is thinner than 3mm - but super lovely. Maybe you should try the thinner one, you know .. just to SEE.

I agree with this. I DO want it to not look "metal-y" and that was partly what I loved about the Tiffany's band. I tried on a 2.5 and a 3. My ER setting is fairly heavy, so I feel like anything too delicate gets swallowed up by my ring. I really have loved the things that have come out of WF (except the recent prong debacle...can't remember who). And it does make me nervous, I'm just not comfortable with paying the price I saw today! Now, I'm definitely open to an ebay option, but even then I feel like I won't know the whole story. I guess I'm more afraid of ebay purchases than custom. And perhaps that fear is misplaced. I looked today online and couldn't find any 3mm eternity. But of course I will keep looking. I just need it by December! Any help would be welcome. Anybody buy bands from James Allen? His channels look fairly affordable...

Another vote for pre-owned.

Ugh. Back to the drawing board.

I have a three stone 2.88 ering so we're in the same ballpark. I did indeed buy the 3 mm channel set band from Tiffanys. I tried many, many diamond bands with my three stone ring and none of them looked right. I had tried on channel set bands before but they didn't do much for me either. On a random outing, I ended up at Tiffany's and their channel set band caught my eye. I tried it on and eureka - that was it! I too understand about the price and realize that their merchandise is pricey. However, for a wedding band that you want to wear for the rest of your life the price is worth it IMO. I have never - and I mean this sincerely - seen a channel set band quite like theirs. The metal channels are minimal and the diamonds far outshine the metal. You can plug in a search on ebay - Tiffany&Co 3 mm diamond channel set band - and it will send you links everytime another one is listed. These rings can always be taken to Tiffany's for verification IF you have a great return policy with the seller.

Good luck with your search - it's hard to find something else when you've found the one you love!

MissGotRocks: Yours is...UGH! SO PERFECT! Makes me remember why I was drawn to that band in the first place. I absolutely love how you see your three stone, a separations, and then a ribbon of diamonds below that! That's exactly what I loved about the Tiffany's! Obviously there is metal in the channel but it's not the first thing that you see! Is yours a full or half eternity? I really really REALLy wanted a full eternity, but maybe compromising to a half in order to get a well crafted ring to last all time would be worth it...oh the decisions.

Oh wow. Just clicked on that link to facets. I'm glad you had a good experience! That is definitely something to consider. I tried on the 3mm at Tiffany..would we see a huge difference between that and a 2.8 mm as featured on this facets website? I surfed around on here and it seems several people had a good experience with them. Anybody else buy this 2.8 mm channel set band?

Mine is eternity and it is also the 3mm. Don't know if they make the 3mm in a half band but if not, they could probably make one for you. The 3 mm is important because anything less just got covered up by the three stone. I just felt that this size band was the perfect compliment - you could see it but it didn't overwhelm the three stone. I always hate it when what I want is the most expensive to be had but that's usually the case! I've never regretted the money spent for one second though.

Same here...my only regrets with jewelry were when I settled for less that what I really wanted.

You don't have to do Ebay to get pre-owned Tiffany. Try Oak Gem ... stay tuned for other suggestions from PSers.

Wow I am also looking for a half eternity channel set band and was about to post a thread asking for good ps vendors!
My ering is from Tiffany's and so is my original wedding band, which is a shared prong. But it's seriously scratching the prongs of my ering so I am looking for a channel set band. I am surprised that everyone is recommending Tiffany's so maybe I should just go back to them for a new band as well.....

I certainly wouldn't rule them out until I had a chance to go look - their bands remind me of the type of jewelry that was made long ago and then everyone had a chance to input what they like, dislike or would change and they've implemented all of that into their pieces. They definitely have eye appeal and feel fabulous on the finger!
