I didn''t make it

As some of you know I was planning on visiting my uncle today in the ICU but unfortunately I didn''t make it. I got a call this morning at 6am that he passed away. This is very hard for my family but I want to thank you all for your thoughts, kind words and prayers.

My uncle will be missed but I''m glad he''s not suffering anymore...he wouldn''t want that kind of life.

Thanks for listening and for caring. My PS family is a great group.

I''m so sorry to see this thread this morning, but not un-duly surprised. It''s not much comfort I know, but I''m sure you will be glad that this part of his illness was not long and drawn out.

I never quite know what to say to people at a time like this, but maybe it''s enough that you know that there are a huge number of people who will be thinking about you and your family this morning and I hope that the outpouring of sympathy and empathy you will receive, for many of us have worn the shoes you are wearing this morning, will help you get through your next few days and months.

Sometimes I say the following in jest, but not today - just breathe honey. And when you''ve done it once, do it again and then again. Take care of the ones that need you the most and forget about the other stuff.

And lastly, if it helps you, please come back here and talk about it. There will always be someone to listen to you.

the timing for bad backs, migraines, feeling unwell and not getting enough sleep is never right for when we have other major issues going on in our lives.
