Once again, thanks to everyone and Jon at GOG for helping me get the perfect ring for the perfect girl.
As some of you may already know, Amanda and I went to Sanibel Island, Florida for our vacation.
Prior to leaving for the vacation I got a spiral shell with a perfect lip on the end of it to stick the ring and some opals into it so I can pour it out into her hand.
The trip was great and on Mothers Day I proposed.
So, We went to Bowman''s beach to watch the sunset.
And as the sun was approaching the sea''s horizen, I asked her, "Do you remember the last time we were here? (we were at Bowmans beach last year, too, watching the sunsets)
She sais "Yes."
Then I told her, "The only difference was we weren''t engaged"
She looked at me all confused and said,"But we still aren''t?"
Thats when i reached over and grabbed the shell and poured it out into her hand and asked her.
She was so excited she dropped the opals and grabbed the ring and tried to slip it on her finger herself! I said, "No, No, that''s my job!" and put it on for her. The whole evening and sunset was perfect! We are now planning on getting married on the island and move to Fort Myers right after we get married. The date is set for Feb. 23rd, 2008. It''ll be great because its soon after we graduate college and we can get out of Cleveland and the snow for the wedding.
