So a little bit ago I posted my rings on here asking if I should get a reset from a three band set to a solitaire and a channel set band. Well I did it and def liked the new look alot! But after the newness wore off I was very upset with trading in my original set due to sentimental reasons. Those bands were more special to me then I thought... The engagement, the wedding day and getting the third band on our first christmas. I got carried away from this website and looking at everyone''s (not just on here but my friends as well) pretty rings and thought that maybe I had picked the wrong set. So I traded in.

Well, I called my jeweler hoping to get my original set back and am so pumped to tell you all that I am getting them back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They still had them and hadn''t done anything except un solder and replate them. So I am posting some pics of my third band that is back on my finger!! The other two are being soldered so i''ll get them next weekend. I am only soldering two so I have more versatility.

So, not only are my original bands back but I have learned a hard lesson about comparing to others and my impulsiveness. They will def serve as a constant reminder of these flaws I have.

Here is my band ... it is snowing in Ohio so no sunlight! But these are the best I could do. But I assure you they sparkle like crazy :) And I love it for so many reasons!!!! (sorry to rant but I just wanted to share how happy I am)

I''m so glad you''re getting your original rings back! I completely understand this need to upgrade and get new rings. This is Pricescope, after all! The land of bling. Memories are definitely priceless and irreplaceable.

What are you going to do with your new set?

why are they so big?

Well I originally traded in my set for a pretty equal trade with my jeweler. (They have treated me so well!) And I am just going to trade back. The only thing I have kept the hole time is my center stone. So we are just swapping that back into my first set.

I don't think you're crazy at all! Thank goodness that the jeweler had not done anything with your old set - imagine how you'd feel after realizing what a mistake you made and then not being able to undo it!

I think it's easy when you spend a lot of time on these boards to want something new/bigger/shinier, etc. But in the end you need to do what's right for YOU.

I hope you'll post pics when you get everything back to original.

ETA: I just went back and looked and your "old" set was lovely!!! So was the new, but I love the sentimentality of your original set and all of the bands.

I was so nervous as I was reading your post. I am so happy that you got your original set back. I am also a sentimental person.

Very happy to hear you`re getting your old set back. I don''t think you`re crazy at all! It`s one of the side-effects of PS addiction to compare our wedding sets and wondering if we chose the right one... and often you don''t realise you have what you really wanted until it`s too late... so it`s great that it wasn`t too late for you and your`re able to get it back!

Glad to hear your story. It makes so much sense to keep your original set. Some day, if all goes well in your lives, you can get another ring and enjoy wearing it, too. Time is on your side when it comes to upgrades. Enjoy your rings!

I''m so glad you got your old set back. It''s kind of hard when you keep seeing new and gorgeous rings on this website.

You are all so right about how hard it is to be content with what you have when looking at all the beautiful sets on this site! But I think, for now anyway, I will be able to look at others beauties and realize that I have my own unique beauty on my hand :)

I am excited you are getting back your original set. You can''t beat something that is sentimental.

When I "threw out" my original e-ring (yeah, i'm an idiot) I was heartbroken. But we managed to upgrade, upsize, redo, etc. a new sapphire ER for me.

No matter how beautiful the new one is, I STILL miss the first one. It wasn't nearly as elegant, high quality, large a stone, whiter diamonds, etc., BUT it was the one I got married with. THAT MEANT MORE THAN ANYTHING to me. Some things are irreplaceable! (to us sentimental sops, that is!)

I am so happy that you were able to get the originals back! Even if you don't wear them much, there's something in knowing they are still in your possession!

You are not crazy at all, I totally understand where you are coming from!

I had been thinking, LS, that you needed a name change, now that you have your beautiful new ring. But this explains it. Part of you will always be Lost Sapphire.

gicki - I hope you keep your original set always. As LS says, even if you don't wear them much at times, it is still wonderful to have them.

glad it worked out. I really like that band. It''s unique!!

I''m glad you got your old set back! It''s lovely! Thanks for sharing.

Cool profile! Lovely ring!

I am so glad you got your set back. I know that diamonds can lure you in, but deep down I couldn''t imagine parting with the original ering I was given, no other ring, no matter how big and sparkly would even compare to the one he got down on one knee with.

That''s so great that you got your original set back -- phew! I totally understand what happened, though -- glad it worked out in the end!

Your rings are lovely, I am happy you were able to get them back.

Oh wow, I love that band!

It''s so easy to get carried away on here, seeing all the upgrades and thinking of something new and exciting. In the end, I don''t think anything can beat the sentimentality of a piece, for many people

I don''t plan to ever get rid of my original e-ring setting and wedding band. They are part of my history with my husband!

Woo you are not CRAZY!!!! I too put my orginal ring back togther after taking it apart. I missed it terrible!!!! I don''t wear it all the time but I know I have it if I want to :) WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CONGRATS TO YOU!!!!!

I am really glad you got your original rings back! They are lovely! I did the same thing with my original ring, but I have never regretted it for a second. I never
liked it though from the moment I got it, so I wasnt all that sentimental about it. My husband and I do have matching original rings and I almost lost it when
I sent it to the original designer for a sizing and they just sent me a brand new ring. Luckily like you, they still had it and hadnt melted it down. I drove about
100 miles to retrieve it that day. I was in a panic until I had it. They had tweaked the style just a little bit and it was missing a couple dents I had put in it so it
took me a couple days to notice! I''m so glad it worked out for you! Now you have two lovelies!

What a cool ring! I''ve never seen that design before! I love it!
