Aww thank you so much for saying that. It's not a complete fail then. Although maybe too much to ask but one day I might have to upgrade to a pink sapphire hahaha. Or just a rubellite tourmaline.

The sapphire is a perfect fit for the Georgian setting. His dad is lightly polishing the sapphire and Sako is restoring and setting the sapphire in the Georgian setting.

Thank you so much for the love! I researched so much this summer and looked at so many stones for this ring, I had to get this right. The setting deserved something very special. I wanted a sapphire or a pink topaz - something durable and period appropriate. The dream was to find a beautiful antique stone that would fit, I never thought I would actually find one.

Sako and his dad both thought the sapphire would benefit from a light polish, “refresh” - I completely trust their judgement with this project, so that is what we are doing. I am so excited to get Lizzy back, but just as much, I feel blessed to have a piece both him and his dad worked on together… it just feels that much more special

I was enjoying this ring today… a local jeweler does unique settings. This cam with a GRS heated sapphire labeled padparadascha
It had a giant window and I had Chris Wolfsberg recut it and he had a local jeweler reset it.
Gia labels it as orange but either way it’s one of my favorites

I’m feeling totally weird that everyone has brought out their amazing gems and I have non but I did have a super productive afternoon.

Met my kid for dinner and was waiting for him at the restaurant when I get a text from my sister saying: Pop Mart has restocked at ZZ branch. They have Time to Chill. So I run out of the restaurant like a maniac and text my kid “Mummy has got to go buy a limited Labubu, find me at Pop Mart!!!!!!”

I queue up and voila………introducing Time to Chill to be known as Buttercake
