how is yours doing this? is he being escorted? if so, by whom? fmil just asked if it would be ok if she and ffil escorted my fiance down the aisle together. she said this is done in jewish weddings (they are not jewish), and that she likes the idea of it. i think it''s fine. only concern is that i only want my uncle to escort me-not my uncle and my mom. would this be strange?

I don''t think it''s strange. As a guest I would only notice it because the groom has come from the side with the officiant at every wedding I''ve attended so I would think it was sweet that he walked down the aisle with his parents.

Not strange at all! In fact, before I kept reading, I was about to type, "In Jewish weddings...." I think it will be perfectly fine if you are walked down by your uncle and he by both parents. I think that there are things that just shouldn''t have set rules. Before my father and I mended our relationship, I was going to have my now ring bearers walk me down the aisle. Grandpa would have been really mad, but its what I wanted a few years ago. I think its most important to have who you want, to walk you down that aisle, no matter if you are the bride or the groom!

I don''t think it''s wierd at all! Yes, in Jewish weddings, both parents usually walk theirchildl down the aisle. However, it appears your wedding isn''t fully Jewish and that you don''t mind being non-traditional. Go for it. see? No problems.
