Humboldt & Great Basin National Parks

Hubs and I did a lot of hiking in Nevada this summer. There are gorgeous places to be seen although it takes a lot of driving to reach these remote areas.

A few pics from Humboldt which I felt was as beautiful as Yosemite

We traded in the tent for nicer digs near Great Basin National Park. My big achievement was hiking to the top of Mt. Wheeler, 13,063 feet. I'm terrified of heights so while the hike was not so bad, being on top was terrifying.

We stayed at a working ranch outside the park. Much better than the tent. Ran into a rattle snake on a night hike, just a few feet from the house.
