How would you set 5x .30 cushions?

I am wondering how you pro PSers would set 5 .30 cushions. I am considering a necklace or maybe even a bracelet. Besides the dbty style what would be some other necklace or bracelet options? And would you do a dbty necklace or bracelet with these size diamonds?

Just needing to brainstorm my options! Feel free to post pics if you have seen something.

I would probably do a bar-style pendant or bracelet - either with the stones set side-by-side with just an outside metal box, like this Erika Winters pendant design (below), or maybe put each cushion in its own box but still all in a row, along the lines of the CvB eternity design (below). I especially like the EW triangle-point ends for a bracelet, but for a pendant I might opt to just extend the bar a bit longer, to accommodate three vertical milgrain lines at each end (in place of the triangle points).

On me, I don't like DBTY bracelets or necklaces, although I love the look on others. Depending on your comfort level and sensitivity, probably this carat weight would work in a DBTY though you might feel the culet(s) against your wrist or neck...

If it were me, I'd probably decide on whether I want it to be a necklace or a bracelet, then once that choice has been made, I'd focus on settings.

What is in the back of your mind when you look at the 5 cushion diamonds - how to you visualize the stones coming together?

Hmmm... I think I'd do a milgrain bezel 5 stone band,

Take 2 and attach chains to them as detachable drops to studs

And use the last 3 as milgrain bezel band.

No help with bracelet or necklace because I automatically went to dbty lolllol

I don't think I'd love a bracelet or necklace with 5 baby AVCs. But if I had room on my finger, this is what I'd make. I still may make it with baby rounds. It's my fav 5 stone band ever. By CVB.

YAY!!! Someone responded! Thank you Marymm. In the back of my mind I was thinking...is this a boring project for PSers?! I really like both of these ideas you have. I would be using the AVCs from this five stone ring. They are approx 3.9 x 3.8mm. I have it listed on loupe troop but am now starting to second guess selling. Maybe repurposing instead because I really do love these stones. I'm just not sure I am a two blingy ring wearing person and thought if I made it into a bracelet or a necklace it would be a bit more understated while rocking my SK asscher. Thoughts?

Knowing it is with these stones do you think one setting would be better than the other in terms of safety and over all look?

Also I was thinking yellow gold the whole time unless it was a dbty then I might do platinum. I wear a Tiffany bead bracelet in yellow that I NEVER take off and most of my necklaces are yellow too. The only white metal I wear is my Plat SK., bezeled studs and my skinny trinity which has one white band.

Knowing they are Ks would you still suggest yellow?

I am leaning towards bracelet over the necklace because i wear them comfortably without needed breaks and I would still be able to admire the stones more easily. For some reason though there is a part of me that feels like bracelets are less than so why put such amazing stones in a bracelet? I do feel I would get more wear out of them vs a ring since I always love wearing my SK.

Sorry this is so long but I feel I am in a bit of a dilemma especially since people have been contacting me about the ring. Everyone is still "thinking" on it but... If I sold the ring I would probably end up purchasing something like the new thin Cartier love bangle...hmmm

Im not sure I like the earring idea only because I already have .92 studs that I wear 24/7. They are perfect and I don't really have a desire for something in addition to that. I realize I like core pieces and to wear them daily.

Knowing they are AVCs...I posted a pics of the current five stone. Do you prefer the dbty style over the other suggestions with these stones? or were you just saying you don't have any new ideas? lol

Also do you think a milligram 3 or 5 stone band would be more understated than the current setting? I am having a hard time wearing two blingy rings at once and I won't choose one at a time. I will always pick SK over this.

I really like that bezel ring too. Was looking at her Insta last night for some inspiration and came across it again. As you know I do have a hard time wearing two blingy rings at once and thats why I thought a bracelet would be an option... Do you feel that that bezel ring is more understated than its current setting? Why are you against a bracelet?

You maybe could use the bezels like Caysie's ring which would widen the diamond width. All I know is that I have a few bracelets and I virtually never wear them, with the exception of my VCA clover bracelet. So I guess I am a little hesitant to put stones that valuable in a bracelet which I wouldn't wear much. You, on the other hand, might wear it daily!

Oh, I just prefer an antique style setting even for a ring with antique stones. I am sure there are other designs as well. I think it would be a standalone ring no matter what. I don't like it with your asscher, either. I adore the asscher ring! That was SUCH a smart buy!!!

I don't wear the dbty daily, but I think that is one of the few pieces you could just keep on and take off to clean once a week, or something. I think maybe these cushions are of a depth that will not work well in a dbty. I think round brilliants probably have less depth and work better. But I haven't seen one, either! I think I answered your last question in the post before this one.

Yes this! I actually sold it to a friend if you remember. That was a very short stay. She found something else so it is back in my possession because I was regretting the sale originally. But here I am again and it feels like too much again..I think. I will always wear the SK if I were to pick between the two.. So then i started to think repurpose for a more subtle look. On a finger they look big but on a wrist or neck I feel like it would be less in your face and I could still enjoy them?

Option two is continue with selling the ring and let the stones go.. Purchasing a bracelet instead. Like a dbty smaller rounds or a thin Cartier love bangle.

I'd try to sell it. Much better to just get a bracelet you love rather than trying to repurpose stones. And yes, I do now remember you sold it to a friend. Someone alerted me that you had listed it! But gosh, I just can't buy everything I see that I want!!!

Yes this is my dilemma. Repurpose or Sell and use some of the funds for something more friendly for my everyday. I just realize for a right hand ring I need super simple and understated. Like a ucut VC band or two stacked. Barely there feeling. Or not a ring at all. Just more laid back whatever that is. Was trying to transform those AVCs into that.

It is an amazing ring and I would love for you to have it! Lol. Maybe it's best I keep it intact and sell. I really needed to talk this one out.

To be honest, I almost never wear a right hand ring! I need to stop buying them!

One simple ring I really like is the Tiffany olive leaf band:

hathaway, now that you've posted a little more on this topic, I think you might be best served by selling the 5 AVC ring and using those funds towards your perfect RHR or just stash it in your bling budget to be used in the future. It is a beautiful ring no doubt, but "as is" or reconfigured into another piece, it just doesn't seem to mesh with your jewelry style/preferences.

If you were to keep it, though, and repurpose it, FWIW I'd set the AVCs in platinum with the rest in yellow gold.

[It is hard to sell gorgeous pieces simply because we don't wear them enough - I definitely feel your pain - but like you I've come to terms with how I actually wear and enjoy my jewelry, and sometimes that means selling off a lovely piece of jewelry just because too much is too much for me.]
