How will AGS class 1 & 2 perform?

Hi,

I know that AGS has a grading scale from 0 to 10. Of course every one wants to own an AGS 0 that scores below 2 on the HCA. What about AGS class 1 & 2''s, is the lower performance from these diamonds really noticeable? Are they still nice to the average person? I notice you can save a lot of money by dropping to AGS 1 or 2. Is this worth doing? Some AGS class 1 & 2''s have scored 2.4 on the HCA. Isn''t that still considered to be a very good stone at 2.4 that will still be nicer than most stones out there?

Try to find AGS 1 to 4 with HCA scores under 2 - they can and do exist.

They can become AGS 0 next year

Although finding them isn't always the easiest task. I would add to Gary's comment and say that there are even (according to the current AGS cut grading system) AGS 4's that are more brilliant than some AGS 0's!
