How to insure a ring through JM before giving it to her

I just started filling out the application at JM and upon answering the question: "Will this be worn by someone else", I am asked to provide all of her info, including her social security number.

Now, I appreciate the fact that it says "Don''t contact this person until after this date...", but I don''t have a lot of faith that something won''t slip through the cracks and ruin 10 weeks of planning, not the least of which I don''t her her SS#.

Should I just insure it for myself and then modify the policy later?

Insure it yourself. Until you actually make a presentation it won’t be worn by someone else. After the presentation, update the policy to indicate that she will be in possession of it instead of you. At that time you can ask her for her SSN.

Im actually going through this now and her SSN isn''t required on the online application. Also there is a place to enter when you are giving the ring so it doesn''t spoil the surprise.
