Hi there, please help to how to choose princess cut diamond. I am look to a 1.5 piece. What should I pay attention and what is more important? Thanks very much.
2. find stones that are >1.5 cts that cost below your budget and fit my previous criteria. Open up color and clarity D-J and IF-I1. https://www.pricescope.com/panning.aspx
If there are no results here, lower your carat weight, or look at GIA stones, depending on your GF's size preferences.
3.(a) stones with colors F-H get 1 point. colors E/I/J get .5 point
(b) stones with clarity grades VS2-SI2 get 1 point. clarities VVS2/VS1/I1 get half a point.
(c) award 1 BONUS point if ct weight is >1.75
(d) sum up points.
4. Consider your choices, starting with the stone with the highest number of points.

Cut is very important if you are going to have a pretty stone, so important to concentrate on that aspect. Colour and clarity depend on preference and budget, but are not as crucial for beauty as a superb cut which makes the diamond come alive!
I would stick to vendors if you are buying online who have in house diamonds and all the info provided such as ASET and Idealscope images, plus photos and a Sarin report ( which gives detailed measurements of the stone). Princess and other fancy shapes cannot really be bought just by numbers as this is not enough info.
You can look at AGS0 or hand selected GIA graded Princess from the following vendors as a suggestion -
Carat, colour and clarity depends on budget so depending on how much you have to spend, you might need to lower both to get the size, or if your budget is generous then you might prefer to have high colour and clarity.
