Wedding How soon before the ceremony did you arrive?

My ceremony location is about 35 mins from the hotel that I''m staying at the night before which is near the reception hall. I scheduled a limo to pick up myself and my bridesmaids at 3pm and the wedding starts at 4 - should I call and ask them to pick us up at 2:30 instead, or is getting to the church 20 mins before it starts ok?

I''m planning to get to mine for 3.25 for a 3.30 wedding. The BM''s will go on ahead and wait for me outside.

Is there are place for you to get ready and/or hang out at the cermony site? If so, I would plan on getting there early so you could relax and have those last minute touch ups. That also means you won't need to worry so much about getting lost or traffic.

Our venue was 40mins from home.
I arrived at the venue around 45mins before the ceremony
and it was nice to have time to go to the restroom, see some of my family, relax,etc.

We had a 15 minute horse and carriage ride from the venue entrance to the chapel, so I literally stepped off the carriage and walked down the aisle!
