how safe is it to ship a stone to a jeweler?

i'm having my e-ring reset and will be mailing it to victor canera in LA. how safe is it to have the stone shipped and although i have the stone laser inscribed i won't be able to see it after it is set because the new setting will be a bezel... how do i confirm it is the same stone in the new setting? most times i can't tell where my inclusions are even under a loupe.

Either learn how to spot the inclusions in your stone with a loupe and match it with your grading report or get an independent appraiser to do it. Inclusions are unique to each stone, like our fingerprints.
