How much would your dream diamond cost?

So for instance, i really don't think most people would actually WANT to wear around a six carat IF D. Maybe I am WAY off here?

(Since I'm a dude...I'll give you the perfect stone I would like to see on my girl. A 2.85 carat RB...cut as well as possible, F color, VS1 clarity). Anything else is just showing off...LOL!! So, what is YOUR perfect diamond!!?

My dream diamond would be a 5 ct. emerald cut, VS1 or probably VVS2 or 1, might as well make it an F.

How much would that cost? Oh, a lot. I don't even want to think about it.

I would love a 3-3.5 carat AVC, slightly rectangular of course (1.07-1.09).

I'm not too particular about color, J+ and eye clean or better. I really like the diamonds I have seen with a little bit of warmth. I think that'll cost somewhere around 35k.

To me any more than 3 carats is a bit much. I wouldn't want anything over 2.5 and a 2 carat is a dream ring to me, near colorless and eyeclean. I'm pretty low maintenance.

3 carat D IF chunky vintage cushion- that's a never gonna happen dream diamond, no clue what it would cost

2.5 carat D VS1 chunky vintage cushion- more realistic, but still a longshot.

There's a gorgeous 4 carat-ish AVC cushion up on GOG: N color, VS clarity, in the rough vicinity of 30Kish.

I'd happily go a carat lower and a color grade or two higher for something like a J, VS, 3 carat cushion. I'd set it in a Van Craeynest setting, and I'd call it George (and I'd hopefully be able to get it in under 35 K including setting).

If I had to have two choices (it would be a hardship) my other would be a rectangular cushion with a nice sized rectangular culet. 2.5-3.0 ct would be fine.

Interesting how many folks have the "5ct EC" as a dream .... I was thinking 5ct authentic antique Asscher, vvs1-vs2, f or g (would take a lifetime to find!) .... OR ... a 3-4ct OEC in an elaborate gothic pave setting like Kyle on RHBH has. Man I love that crazy thing.

I am pretty happy with the size of my stone, but I would like to add a couple more......

7 carat modern cushion-not the crushed ice kind though, any color but VS1 or above clarity

5-7 fancy yellow in anything rectangular shaped VS2 or above

3 carat pink diamond
3 carat blue

all extra's-not to replace what I have. I would have Leon set every single one of them in a different style. Probably halo'd
but different halo's on all of them. Some maybe with traps or cadillac's on the sides, and definitely at least one with those
killer french cuts.

I laugh at the thought that any of those stone would go with my SAHM, jeans and tee shirts kind of life....but a girl can
dream.

For me it will always be this ring from DBL

She was named Chi Chi and was a 4ish carat Fancy Brown or Brownish Yellow...almost the exact same color as the gold. I like brownish yellows much more than pure yellows and I love colored diamonds for large rings...

I think she sold second hand for around 25k. I also love the cut on this stone, it's so unusual!
