How much would a plat settings cost?

Hi Guys,

I'd need your expertise in this. Here's the story:

Not too long back I asked a private jeweler to set for me my proposal ring. But after it was done, my jeweler said that he didnt want to charge me. Saying that it's a gift for my wedding. So in return, I'd like to give him a red packet (Chinese tradition for good luck).

I'd like to know what's the rough pricing for a custom ring with side stones settings in platinum with 5% Ruthenium cost(I've supplied all the 3 stones)?

My Ru plat quote from WF for a custom threestone was also $2300, like slg's... this was a year ago, so it's most likely a little more now.

Hi Andy,

I recently set my diamond in Singapore. Although I got WG instead of plat due to some miscommunication, I was quoted about S$1.5k for my setting in plat. Mine is a solitaire setting with some milgrain and filigree. Bear in mind though, another jeweler quoted me S$2k for similar setting in WG! This could be due to the higher shop rental this other jeweler incur, since his shop is in a prime location and is more 'branded' than the one I went to.
