How many diamond patents are there?

As I''ve mentioned before, my legal specialty is intellectual property, and one of the things I do at work is track patents and trademarks for diamond cuts. If you think there''ve been a lot of diamond patents lately, you''re right. But how many? 25? 50? Click the link below for the answer.

(Keep in mind that only about 75% of these are for cut designs--the patent class includes a few other things)

You won't find applications with that search; those are issued patents. Applications are here (note: "applications," strictly speaking, refers to published but pending patents):
