How loose is your engagement ring?

Hi all! I have a silly question for you all. I know that your fingers shrink during the winter and swell during the summer. I visited so many jewelry stores during the summer and found out that I''m a size 4. The size 4 even felt a little bit snug. I just received my ring from being sized and it''s a little loose on my finger. Is this normal? I was contemplating getting it sized down 1/4 size but I''m afraid I won''t be able to put it on in the summer! Does anyone else have this problem? Thanks in advance!

My e-ring was pretty tight for a while, but now that it''s colder, it''s somewhat loose. It doesn''t spin or anything, but i can get it on and off very easily. I''d say as long as it''s not going to fall off don''t size it down.

Normally mine fits fine but now that it''s getting cooler it get''s a little loose and at times does a little spinning. Not completely around but a little to the left. Never enough to fall off though! It you think it will fall off I''d get it sized down.

I''d leave it the size you currently have it. Mine is tight in the summer and very loose in the winter...but there''s no way around it. I think if you got it sized smaller, you''d regret it in the summer and/or when you have a wedding band to put with it...that always tightens things up too...

Mine is on the loose side. I can easily spin it around and slide it off. Adding my wedding band did create a more snug fit plus in the morning or when it is warm out it fits MUCH tighter.

Mine also fits a bit better now that I added the w-band.

A good way to gauge if your ring is too loose is to do the "knuckle test". If someone else (not you!) can easily pull it over your knuckle, then it may need to be sized down.

Mine needs to be coaxed over my knuckle and always swiveled a bit but now that it''s getting colder it keeps rotating all the way to my palm! I''m going to look for those plastic thingies I''ve heard about that you can get at Target. I''m not going to get it sized as I figure my w-band will help tighten it up. If I still need something I''ll get some bumps added to the bottom rather than resizing. That will allow it to still go over my knuckle, still fit when my finger swells up in warm weather, yet will not swivel or move in the colder months. (theoretically).

Mine fluctuates quite a bit with the season''s. I''d wait until the warmer weather hits again and sees what it does before making any decisions (unless of course, it''s loose enough to possibly slip off).

Mine is like 1/2 size bigger, I got it in october when it was still hot and it was big by then anyway... I really don''t want to size it down I like it this way.. even if it spins hehehe

Mine is pretty loose. It tends to rest below the "meaty" part of my finger, so it spins easily. When I''m outside in the cold, it will easily slip down to my knuckle, but it doesn''t really come close to falling off. I''m paranoid about tight rings, so I like it a little loose. Once I get married, the wedding ring will push the engagement ring up a bit further on my finger, so I think that will make it fit better too.

My engagement ring is pave with a small sizing area, but I don''t like the idea of sizing it if it''s possible not to. I figure my fingers are more likely to get bigger than smaller over the course of my lifetime, so I''m satisfied that it''s a little loose now.

Mine''s about a quarter size too big, I was going to get it sized not but now I love the size, I am so used to it, and it always comes off (I previously have a setting that was a 1/4 size too small and would never come off without straching up my knuckle, sometimes not come off at all, and cut off my circulation), it does get REALLY loose when I go out to my car and it''s like 20 degrees, but I couldn''t get it off unless I really really tried by flinging my hand around.

Mine was 1/2 size too big when I first got it last summer, it would slide down to my knuckle even in really hot weather! If it got cooler, it would slip off if I shaked my hand. I got it sized to a 4.5 and it''s perfect. A little snug when it''s hot, a little lose when it''s cold.
