Ok so I am sooooo sad!

I recieved my e-ring a week ago and have already managed to knock two of the pave stones out of the setting. I have been very careful with it, (ie: I take it off when showering, working out, cooking, sleeping, etc.) but I couldn''t avoid a freak accident this morning.

The spring on the steel storm door at my back of my house broke a few days ago so it is unpredictable. It was raining and windy this morning, so on my way out the door a gust caught it and slammed it into my ring! I am grateful that the center stone is fine, but very sad that my new ring is missing two sparklies.

I managed to find one of the tiny stones in the midst of the downpour, but couldn''t find the other stone.

Anyone have experience with this? How much should a high quality round 1 or 2 point round stone cost? How long does it take for a jeweler to replace the small stones?

Thanks for reading my rant! I want to cry....

So sorry to hear that your ring was hurt! Don''t worry, though...thankfully, it''s fixable.

Several things can affect how long it might take to replace the melee.

*Does the jeweler have easy/quick access to melee that will match your ring
*Is there damage to the prongs? If so, what''s required to fix it? Rebuild prongs, etc.?
*Does your jeweler have bench staff onsite or does he have to send it out?
*What is the existing workload of the person who''ll be doing the repair?

Hope you''re able to get it fixed fairly quickly.

The jeweler doesn''t send his work off, they have a full time benchman, but they do have a fairly heavy workload. I am hoping that the prongs aren''t damaged.....they are so tiny though, so I can''t tell. They do seem to have plenty of stones in stock so hopefully they will have a 1/2 pointer that matches my pave.

Mine took 2 days and was free.

Mine took about a week and was $20 per stone. Timeframe will totally depend on your jeweler.
