This is being offered to me at around ~$5,800. Does this seem like a good deal?

Hi Montaco

Have you seen this diamond in person or is it for sale with an online vendor? An Idealscope image would be very helpful for this diamond if you can get one.

I have not seen this in person, it is from an online vendor that has been mentioned as reputable on these forums.

I''ve requested the idealscope image of this diamond, but in the meantime based on the numbers does anyone see anything glaring wrong with the price / quality of the diamond?

This is pretty much the top of my budget, shall I sacrifice clarity for anything?

The angles are not as tight as I would like to see. I think you can probably do better. Stone Cold''s AGSO is a nice bet.

Is that the diamond that Stone cold suggested?

I am not an expert on IS images, but that one looks good to me. Lots of red and little white.

This is not a bad thing, but sort of a "flavour" thing -- this diamond has longer lower girdle facets, that is why the arrows appear thinner. This means the diamond will excel more in bright white light return and perhaps not fair as well in fire. I personally prefer bright light return because in the majority of lighting environments that is what you see! Most people are not in firery lighting environments as often (unless you live in Cal I guess!). Just something to know about!

Its a good image, not the very best I have seen but still good.

This vendor is competitively priced so you should be fine there, you can do a search for similar to check the prices of comparable diamonds.
