Do you contact them directly, or do they only deal with vendors in the business? Does anyone have any experience (good or bad) with Gordon Clark? How is the quality and price? I found this mount (for a 8mm diamond), and wondered how I would obtain info about it.

Hi beau, I''ve never head of Gordon Clark so I can''t help you there. I don''t think any PS vendors are retailers. do they have a website? you might try contacting them that way.

did the custom ring you were thinking about not pan out or is this for another project

Nope..the custom ring quote went from $1400 to $3300. I will be going in to see the jeweler Monday, to see what he can offer me ..since he DID tell me intially (after showing him a pic of what I wanted) that Myerson's would do it for $1400. Hmmmm..not sure why the sudden jump in price. I'm sure there is a beautiful ring mount out there somewhere..for about $1500 or less. I just hate all the searching!! I can't see myself ever having any other projects. Having ONE beautiful ring on my hand has been an ogoing project, and I can't imagine wanting to do it again..EVER!! lol.

I have used Gordon Clark many times and they do good work.

I believe that you will have to work with a Jeweler to get one of their mountings, they do not work directly with the public to the best of my knowledge. Talk with your jeweler, he should be able to source it for you.

well, there you go. I've been on this forum 4 years and never heard of Gordon Clark and didn't know you were a retailer Wink. I sincerely apologize. (obviously i'm still learning something new here every day)

beau, i guess you'll have to try and hunt down a retailer in Canada, otherwise I'm sure Wink could help you out!!

Both Winfield's and Good Old Gold I believe offer Gordon Clark settings. I can attest to Wink being an INCREDIBLE person to work with!!! He gets an A+ from me!

Beau, what are the dimensions on your stone?

Thanks for your input Wink..and yes ladies I agree that Wink is highly recommended (I have purchased a couple of his rings). I know the jewelers around here won't be bending over backwards to find a price, or even get the mount from Gordon Clark for me..so if you find time Wink, can you price out that setting I posted? I will send you an e-mail titled "Gordon Clark setting". Thanks

Uprgradable, you're right, I am not afraid to buy some items from E-bay, but only when I know the diamonds are of good quality (my bezel set band, my 5 stone band). This ring setting however..the diamonds (in that particular photo) scare me! Doesn't look like those diamonds could measure up to my brilliant diamond! (which is 7.7 mm in diameter, since you wanted to know). Thanks for posting the pic!!

Actually trying to be helpful. Sorry.

I know..and I thanked you for helping me

I just think the diamonds are on the "dingy" side..the ring style is pretty though! I think if I ordered a ring setting from E-bay it would have to be solid gold..no diamonds..just to be safe!
