How do you wear your pear?

I went out and bought myself a blue topaz pear with halo on a half pave band.

My question is how do you wear your pear stones?

Point in or point out?

Just wondering. Is there any preference and why or why not...

it is unpopular but I think it looks best with the point pointing toward you so that when others see it on the hand it looks like a droplet, or in your case a water droplet LOL Most wear them point out though so the fat part of the pear is over their wedding ring. I think you can wear it either way and choose what you prefer

Haha - I just bought a blue topaz pear in a halo too!! I was just last night trying to decide which way to point it! I think I decided I liked it pointing towards the tip of my finger - it seems to be more proportional that way - elongates the finger. Heavy side towards the big old hand, tapering out with fingers which are smaller than the hand. I think both ways look pretty though!

I wear mine with the point facing others. To me, it just looks right. I tried having the point face me but I didn''t like it as much - I guess I was used to wearing it the other way!

I have an Emerald ring, which was given to me as a pre-engagement ring. I wear it with the point towards my body. I do it so it is pointing toward my heart just like the concept of the claddagh ring tradition.

I suppose I should explain the ring, the ring is a size 8 so i can wear it on my middle finger. It is 14kt yellow gold with melee around on the halo. I like it and it was my gift to me....I think I deserve it....

My ER (never wear it) is a .96 Pear (crummy specs)

But I always wore it with the point out.
Point in just looks odd to me, off balance or something.

I wear it with the point away from me. But when I first started wearing it, I always used to wear it with the tip pointing toward me for some reason. I loved it that way. Don''t know why I changed, but I did somewhere along the way.
