That is extremely peculair!
No, it probably isn''t really... perhaps she''s terrified of losing it, or chipping it?
Perhaps the setting, in her opinion, is not ''secure'' enough for her to wear it confidently?

tell her if she doesn''t wear it, you''re going to reset it and wear it yourself!

Perhaps she doesn''t like it? Did you pick it out without her input? Maybe you could talk to her, see what the problem is?

Yeh. In a nice pinky ring.

She''s probably scared of damaging it or of drawing attention to herself.

Tell her is she doesn''t start wearing it you will give it to AJ

Oh honey, you get a new wife! I''m married, but I''ll stand in temporarily and won''t even be offended when you reset that bad boy for me

Does she wear the ring you originally got her instead? It might hold a lot of sentimental attachment there.... Maybe she looks at the new e-ring like a cocktail ring... and not an ering... so if your feelings are hurt... talk to her about it.

Maybe you''ll get some "I''m sorry I hurt your feelings luvin!"

Am I right in thinking it is set in a 4-prong setting? I personally would go for at least 6-prongs for a stone of that size. Maybe your wife thinks it looks too big on her small hand, and prefers something that doesn''t stand out as much???

Why not sell it and use the money for something else? Undulge us with a picture DF.

Wow!!

I know many people who would love to get their hands on that rock, if she isn''t inclined to wear it...

If the stone is insured, she really has nothing to worry about...

What should I tell you; this is not a typical problem.....

Does she get input in what you wear? If yes, then fair is fair.

I''d just ask her why she doesn''t wear it, then go from there...

Maybe she prefers the look and security of a 6-prong :), maybe you can reset the big rock, if that fails I will be happy to babysit on a permanent basis :).

You could always loan it to your rh gf. Being that she''s missing her jewelry and all.

Hey, what''s the menu for CNY eve?

Well, just my opinion, which differs from many (or possibly most) on PS, is that it's too big! If my DH got me a 3.34 ct diamond, I wouldn't wear it either. In fact, I would ask him to return it and use the money to buy me many smaller diamonds that I can mix and match.

What kinds of activities do you and your wife engage in? Are you at "fancy" venues where a diamond of that size wouldn't stand out in an awkward way?

ETA - what is the size on the smaller stone?

Holy smokes ALL of her rings are gorgeous!! She''s one lucky lady! I''d rock that 3 ct boulder every day if it were mine.

Sorry to hear that her Original ering was lost...
so I dont know. Maybe she''d like a 6 prong different setting... or if she always wears the smaller 6-pronger w/ the band... maybe she thinks the band looks overwhelming w/ the bigger stone.

I LOVE THE HAND SHOT, and think WOWZA

Either way, your wife is one lucky lady. But I think if you really want an answer to the original question... you''re going to have to (gasp!) talk to you wife.....

That handshot is YUMMY... mmm I have to look at that one again!

Lucky lady? She''s married to Dancing Fire!

The ring looks too tight on her finger so maybe its a comfort issue? Maybe ask if she would like to resize and reset it? OR, I''m a size 6 - she can send it to me!!!
