OK I finally purchased a ring! Thanks for all the help! Got it a few days ago and have been checking it out ever since. I managed to take a few pics and wanted to share.

To make this fun, see if you can guess the color, clarity, and carats of the stone (no cheating!). I''ll be back to post the real specs, including angles and everything later.

Beautiful ring. It''s hard to guess what the color is because the diamond looks slightly different, shade wise, in each of the shots (maybe it''s my monitor?).

Thanks for all the kind words! Everybody was in the ballpark. Yes, the diamond and setting were purchased from James Allen. It was a wonderful buying experience! Here are the stats:

The setting was the 2.2mm Pave set in 18k white gold

The total for the setting and diamond came to $2100, slightly over my original budget but I couldn''t pass up getting such a beautiful diamond, BIG too, at this price.

I''ll try to get some pics of the ring in the sun this weekend, its a stunner. I have had this stone in every light imaginable so far and the fluorescence has been a non issue. Thanks again for all the help and compliments!

The mm measurements are great for that .87 carat! It faces up more like a .92 ct. Way to go!
