How clean is your diamond RIGHT NOW.

My engagement ring is frankly filthy. I just polished the table with a cloth and it just didn''t do anything for it. I''m a bad PSer. My pendant is clean. But I''m afraid to look at my earrings. Time to hit the Dawn, hot water and soft toothbrush brigade at least.

Unfortunately my hands are always swollen in the mornings, so I have to shower with it. Soap scum...ew.

I cleaned it just this afternoon! I try and clean it in the U/S once every 2 weeks, but I do get quite lazy with that every now and then.

My earrings are only clean b/c I went into a jewelry store and had them cleaned. I took them out last night and will be cleaning them tomorrow before I put them back in.

Sara, do you wipe off the top surface? Sometimes I''ll keep my earrings in for weeks at at time and take a paper towel every morning and wet it and then wipe down the table of the diamond and then dry it off. lol Works good enough!

The diamonds on my eternity band are clean, but only because I gave them a polish before going out to dinner. Usually you can find a 4 course toddler meal between the stones!

Extremely so! I got it cleaned at my jeweler a week ago and I''ve only worn it once since then. Nothing gets it clean like a steam cleaning (plus polishing!)

I clean miy e-ring pretty much every day and then use the US once a week. My heart necklace on the other hand only gets cleaned once a week in the US and it''s pretty dirty at the moment since I sleep and bathe with it on. I don''t ever take it off. Now I feel the intense need to clean it....

Love this. Totally funny thread. And in the interest of full disclosure. They are still filthy. I''ll clean them tomorrow.

I used to clean them every day. Then I found it was easier to take the rings off before washing my hands. There is a line of dirt under the basket that I can see at some angles and it DRIVES ME CRAZY.

But even when it''s dirty, it still sparkles nicer than a lot of other STUFF I see out there.

I AM getting an US this year.. I''ve been meaning to try brookstone..hmm
