How bad could this diamond really be?

Hi, I'm interested in this diamond even though it isn't absolutely optimal. I cannot get ASET/IdealScope - hence the title, but judging from the numbers how bad could it really be compared to say a GOG H&A AGS 0/GIA ex candidate. This is a 0.45 G, VS1 (only a cloud is noted), GIA EX EX EX (small by PS standards but my partner likes 0.4-0.6). I'm very happy with the clarity/colour and even size, so just the cut I need help on:

Measurements (round brilliant):
4.94 - 4.96 x 3.04mm (seems to face up quite nicely for its weight)

Proportions:
Depth 61.3%
Table 56%
Crown Angle 34
Crown Height 15%
Pavilion Angle 41
Pavilion Depth 43%
Star length 55%
Lower half 80%
Girdle medium to slightly thick, faceted, 3.5%
No cul/FL

2012 report issued.
HCA 1.3, EX EX VG VG (on the chart it is in the zone that could also be a AGS 0 candidate).

Note that this diamond does not have h&a, I haven't seen it yet. I've never seen a h&a in person so I wouldn't notice any difference anyway. Just because I couldn't notice the difference, would anyone else that knew what a h&a (i.e. a lot of you) be able to discern the difference with the human eye?

Thanks for any help, I'm interested to see what you think to the stone.

Hi OP, since you can't get that imagery beforehand, does the vendor have a return period if the stone isn't what you hoped? If so, it looks like it could be promising. Let us know when you get it and take photos! Someone who truly covets H&A stones, would not mistake a non H&A stone, like me. 80% lgf will give a long arrow, a more splintery flash.

TC1987 thank you very much, this reply was very useful to me.

To luvdajules, first thank you for replying, the return period is advertised as 14 days, but 7 days after receiving it (still this is long enough for me). How could you tell a true h&a from a GIA XXX with good proportions? I'm not saying you couldn't I just want to know how to spot the difference too ^^. When I finally pick a stone/mount I will definitely upload a pictures :). I may decide on this stone or I might go for h&a just not sure if it's worth it or not.

Btw, are the pictures on the GOG site just normal pics of the diamond? I want to know if the arrows are that clear to the human eye.

Asked the vendor to get it in for Saturday, if they can I'll probably 'pull the trigger'. Will keep you posted ^^. Anymore input on the diamond would be much appreciated, thanks.

I suspect it will at least have arrows pattern. There isn't much way to evaluate cut except look at it, if you can't get any more data from the seller. Take it to an appraiser, maybe, but it would have to be one who used the ASET and Idealscope tools to get you that information. You can buy the ASET and IS scopes and resell them later.

The proportions seen to fit the "Pricescope cheat sheet" for rounds.

Blue is the "cheat sheet" recommendation
Depth 61.3% 60 - 62%
Table 56% 54- 57%
Crown Angle 34 34- 35 degrees
Crown Height 15% (nice crown height)
Pavilion Angle 41 40.6- 41 degrees
Pavilion Depth 43%
Star length 55%
Lower half 80% (slimmer arrows, as a previous post pointed out but many prefer that)
Girdle medium to slightly thick, faceted, 3.5% look for thin to slightly thick, thin to medium etc
No cul/FL

2012 report issued.
HCA 1.3, EX EX VG VG (on the chart it is in the zone that could also be a AGS 0 candidate).
note - with crown and pavilion angles at the shallower ends ( CA 34- PA 40.6) and steeper ( CA 35- PA 41) check to make sure these angles complement in that particular diamond - eyeballs, Idealscope, trusted vendor input - check as appropriate!

Very useful reply again TC1987 thank you :). Unfortunately the vendor says it has sold already lol :(. Back to searching for me :?
