How are you eating during the virus lockdown?

I swear hard avocados, you could kill someone with them! The internet told me I could microwave them to help them ripen but I like your bananas option better. And you can blitz a ripe avocado and ripe banana together with some cocoa powder to make a not-totally joyless mousse too.

Hard unripe avocados are the bane of my existence! I think I've had ONE nice one all summer! I put them in a brown paper bag and it helps to ripen, but sometimes they are just gross anyway.

Meringues for my son's birthday dessert. He's not a big cake eater but loves this. He calls it "Smashy Smashy" because he gets to smash the meringues.

Yes they look a bit like turds!!! I need to think about what piping nozzle I use!

HI:

Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend. So my favorite ham, cornmeal soufflé, roasted cauliflower and brussel sprouts, homemade cabbage rolls, and pumpkin pie.
