Okay, I''ve mentioned my favor idea of beeswax candles and either honey sticks or small jars of honey. I''m thinking of small bears or jars filled with honey, and personalized labels saying, "Meant to Bee" (thanks PSer who gave me this quote idea!). What do you think of this label?

Now I''ve found this website where you can order honey holding bears, with different color caps! Perfect! http://www.draperbee.com/beesupplies/supply%20images/12ozbears.jpg

ETA: Oh you posted more labels now! Those are also cute, and perhaps "classier" but I am such a fan of the tuxedos! Little honey bears in tuxedos!!!! Just makes me giggle.

So the tuxedos would be for the bears, but what about these jars?

Hmmm, I think I like the clear bear better, but the frosted one has a rounded belly and is more squeezable so I might go with that....but I do want to know more about clear bear''s belly first.

Look! They can even make my labels!

"We can even bottle the honey of your choice in any of our in stock containers and label it with custom printed labels for wedding favors, gifts (holidays, birthdays, office, anniversaries, etc.) or other special occasions."

So all I''d have to do is choose the honey, the jars, and the labels!

I know it''s totally WAAAAAAY in advance, but what kind of honey would you choose?

Alfalfa Very light honey with a pleasing, mild flavor and aroma.
Basswood Light honey with a strong flavor.
Buckwheat Very dark and full-bodied honey.
Clover Light honey with pleasing, mild taste.
Goldenrod Locally produced light honey with distinctive flavor.
Orange Blossom Light honey with a fresh scent and sweet taste.
Sourwood Light, specialty honey from North Carolina.
Tulip Poplar Dark in color but has a mild flavor.
Tupelo Light heavy bodied honey with a distinctive taste.
Wildflower Dark honey blended for a mild flavor.

LuLu, thanks for that link! It''s a perfect site, and yeah, the prices are great!! I''m getting a catalog in the mail from the other honey people above, and I''ll post the prices.

I had never thought of giving honey as a favor, and even though I am not technically "planning" my wedding, I really love the idea now!! I may have to steal it from you amber!!

I love the Honey favor idea! The bears are adorable, or if you get the jars, you could have cute little labels made (with a little poem or something!).

These sound the best to me:
Clover Light honey with pleasing, mild taste.
Orange Blossom Light honey with a fresh scent and sweet taste.

I don''t know why, but light honey sounds more edible to me. Then again, I usually get the stuff in the bears...what''s that?

Ya know, I think the honey in the bears is clover honey. I was thinking about that one for the favors, too. Orange Blossom would be nice, but I''m allergic to citrus, and I wonder if it has anything to do with that... I could really go bears or jars. I guess I''ll see when the catalog gets here!
