Last month my engagement ring bent and I had to get another made. I just got it today and I am having mixed feelings about it. There are a couple of things I am unsure about right now:
1) The prongs look very long to me and somewhat bulky. This time around I chose to do pink gold for the basket and I feel that where
it meets with the platinum is bulky.
2) In some areas the melee in the pave seems sunken in if that makes sense.
3) The milgrain looks unfinished some places like there is smooth metal. In a ring that should be milgrained should there be any smooth
surfaces?
Many of the details I am trying to describe are so minute that it is hard to photograph, I am still working on it. I am satisfied with the ring overall but I feel like it maybe was a little rushed due to the upcoming holiday and my very expressed wish to have it before then since it's been over a month since I've had it.
