Wow, so I just happened to catch this show on TV, and I just can't believe they are turning the decision to get married into a week-long reality show, wtf? So basically they surprise a couple who have been dating a long time (nominated by a friend or family member), and give them the offer to pay for a wedding if they plan their wedding in the next week.

Um...one week is not nearly long enough to decide whether to get married. These aren't engaged couples mind you, just couples that are in long term relationships.

Oh yeah, and if they accept the offer, they basically have one week to plan some wedding details, and then give the FINAL DECISION AT THE ALTAR. So you either end up married, or humiliated on national TV...

Blerrrrrg.

How many sad reality tv shows can possibly exist?

I mean, I understand that it''s a great deal financially (free diamond free, free dream wedding, etc) but who would want to get married under these conditions?! And it would feel like such a farce to plan a wedding knowing full well that my fiance might decide to say No last minute.

Ughhhh...I HATE these shows!

This one is almost as bad as the one where the guys and girls have to judge each others'' bodies and rank them from 1 to 5. I think it''s called "Battle of the Bods" or something. Nothing like saying people are no more than the sum of their body parts...

Wow,
So at the end of this episode, when they''re standing at the altar, all dressed up and in front of their family and friends and guests, he tells her he can''t marry her after all. WTF man. Way to be the BIGGEST JERK EVER.

I just don''t understand. Even if you realize you can''t go through with it, you couldn''t have told her discreetly the night before? You couldn''t just rip up the certificate right after so that it''s not legal? You had to humiliate her on national TV for everyone to see? It''s not like he had any money or anything. I''m just amazed that you could do that to a person you loved enough to consider marrying.

Horribly horrible soul-eating show..
