In my family, every year, we have to listen to Homer Slockheimer's hideous version of "O Holy Night," and howl with laughter. It never gets old.

Last week on the radio I also heard this song, Dominick the Donkey from the 1960's. It's so bad that it's good!

Do any of you know some that are just as bad or worse? Ok.. I don't think anything can top the "O Holy Night" but I'd love to hear someone try.

I hate "Dominc the Donkey," yet I find myself singing along occasionally. Hee-haw Hee-haw!

How 'bout "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer?"

Edit: This time, I got the name right. Typos galore...

Zoe - Great minds think alike. I always laugh at poor Grandma.

HA! I didn't come back in time to correct the name of the song.

I just heard "Dominick the Donkey" on satellite radio the other day. Wow. I could hardly believe my ears.

Homer just made my ears bleed--my cat ran into the closet for some relief.

Oy. There are no words...

My favorite bad Christmas songs are Jeff Foxworthy's Redneck 12 Days of Christmas and everything on the South Park Christmas album (Cartman singing O Holy Night, Mr. Mackey's Carol of the Bells, Mr. Hankey the Christmas Poo...).

What about "carol of the bells" on south park?!? "Ding Dong MM'Kay" lol. Still anytime DH hears the REAL song start, he starts quoting that stupid teacher!

Of course, with my mind always in the gutter, I was thinking Bad like Naughty and the first thing that popped in my head was one of my favorites by Gary Allan.....Many have done it but none can sound like him *swoon*

This.

But really I don't think it's funny. I have this song running through my head and it's kind of annoying. :nono:

I am listening to this RIGHT NOW! It's my favorite.... b/c it reminds me of Christmas in the South in some ways.

"I can't remember how I'm kin to them."

"We were drinkin champagne punch and homemade eggnog"

"Mix bloody mary's And We ALL WANT ONE"

" And we sang silent nigh, Oh Silent night.... Oh holy ni hi hight"

I want a hippopotomas for Christmas... Only a hippopotomas will do!

The hippopotamus song is in no way "bad!" In fact, Shirley Temple is on my on Demand music right now!!

I used to work in retail over Christmas, and we had a fantastic Christmas carols CD we'd listen to year after year in the shop. EXCEPT for one soppy song, called 'Oh Christmas Bush'. Not tree, but bush. Bush??

My goodness it was abysmal. The fast forward button always got a workout when old Christmas Bush came on.

ETA: Oh my gosh, I just listened to the youtube clip of Oh Holy Night, I cannot wait to turn that on at my parent's hosue on Chrissy Eve, my brothers will cry laughing

Ok,this isn't bad at all,but is hilarious and really cute, and I'm having it on repeat since the beginning of the month just like last year

evan Taubenfel is Avril LAvigne ex guitarist and best friend, and isreally a talented guy ;))

Great songs, everyone! I think my ears might be bleeding though...

Mine is from a children's Christmas CD my DH has. The "12 Days of Christmas" song has a partridge that squacks everytime they get at the partridge in a pear tree. SQUAAACK! I die every time.

O man, that is not a bad christmas song, i heard it the other day, along with " all i want for christmas are my two front teeth" HeHe...got a giggle.

I heard a hilarious Hanauka song though, called " Dont worry, Eat Kosher" ....lol. SO and I laughed so hard during that song..I tried to find it online but i could only find a sample...

I REALLY don't like a lot of the new versions of old songs. Particularly anything sung by Celine Dion or Christina Aguilera. Do we really need to shout and yell and do scales throughout the whole song?

My husband and I were in the car the other day, and I don't know what the name of the song was....but all the sudden this creepy dude voice started singing....

"Little girls.....little boys....."

with long breaks in between. We sort of looked at each other and went uuuuuhhhhhh???? It sounded like a creeper pedophile song

Wow...that is scary....i agree about adding too much to a song. They were fine they way there were, i dont need you to added some scales to it, im sure the little drummer boy didnt do all of that. :nono:

I like the Redneck Days of Christmas

My brother got Alvin & the Chipmunks' Christmas album one year.... Yeah... That entire album

"Santa Claus and His Old Lady" by Cheech and Chong....PRICELESS!

Lori

Madonna's version of Santa Baby...gag!

dolly parton "hard candy christmas."

awful.
