There''s a little LIW excitement going on at our house. I thought you ladies might appreciate it....
So the other night SO is getting ready to go work out and I''m just hanging around like a barnacle. I say "so, I think I''ve completely changed my mind on my engagement ring setting."
He said, "oh yeah?" and he sits down and follows with "what kind do you like now?"
Okay, here''s why this day is unlike any other. Because not only does he seem interested, but he''s asking a follow-up question!!!
Normally it goes something like this:
Me: "So I picked out some engagement ring possibilities online."
Him: "Uh huh" (as he''s usually walking out of the room like I''m going to give him the plague)
Me: There''s this Leon Mege setting that''s just TO DIE FOR...."
Him: "Do you know what you want for supper tonight?" (or some other question to immediately change the subject).
So anyway, after this revelation that he''s actually interested in this new ring I say "I''m confused, why are you all of a sudden interested?" His response, "well, it''s about time to get serious about buying one.... can''t stay single forever *wink*." We always say we''ll get engaged "in the future." This is the first time "the future" became "the near future."
