So, I really appreciate any feedback you might have. I''m hesitating to ask it to be brought in. This is a HUGE "next step" for me.

Will Whiteflash really tell me if the stone doesn''t live up to its numbers? ARE these good numbers? ETC.

HELP! And thanks.

Sorry to have two posts on the same thread; I did not know how to attach two files...or if that''s even possible.

Anyway, I noticed a discrepancy already: the Sarin report calls the diamond 1.98 cts and the GIA calls it 2.01. Is this a common mistake?

I really want a stone that is two carats. It might seem like a minor thing, but...

the carat weight is just inputed; not measured by Sarin.

You can copy the URL at the top of the page for the stone and then click the "insert link" icon which is represented by a chain symbol about three quarters of the way on top of the edit/reply box. Next to the three black lines. Paste the link in the box.

mkay, I guess I was wrong about the input.

what do you mean, wrong about the input?

i''m confused...

I think she''s saying that she thought the carat weight was input-ted (is there even such a word?

) by the person who is doing the scan. In actuality, as posted by Garry in your other post, the Sarin just scans the stone and makes an estimate of its carat weight based upon the dimensions of the stone. The only way to tell its true weight is to weigh it on a scale.

Thanks to those who took the time to respond. I know it''s a boring "same old" kind of question, but it''s a huge deal to me! HUGE. I am going to have it come in. I will probably see something about it on Tuesday.

Hopeful.

Buying a 2 carat diamond is a huge deal. Heck, just buying a diamond of any size is a huge deal to the buyer regardless of size.

On the Sarin one has the option to manually input the weight. But the Sarin also calculates the weight by itself.

PS. Sorry I didn't notice the post above saying the same thing.
