Hi all,
So I am searching for a ring that I really like, and have been dealing with someone from Whiteflash--however, they do not have any pictures of rings with their "X-Factor" setting, nor any good pictures of their radiant cut (which, based on the stock image on their website looks a bit off-kilter). I was wondering if anyone had any experience with those cuts, and could tell me what they thought about them--particularly versus the princess cut.

I am leaning towards the X-prong with the X-factor cut--largely b/c I think that best approximates the Tiffany Lucida ring which I am REALLY in love with--but I can''t tell based on the pictures I have seen thus far whether that would create an attractive ring.

Any input or even possible pictures of the X-factor cut (or radiant) from Whiteflash would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Gladyskristen has a beautiful X-factor in a Lucida-style setting, so look up her posts! She had some trouble getting the setting to look right (from an outside jeweler), so I highly recommend sticking with WF for the setting. They know what they're doing.

ETA: It won't look exactly like a Lucida b/c the cut is a bit different. The Lucida cut has a step-cut crown and a brilliant-cut pavilion. The X-factor is brilliant-cut all the way, just like a princess but with the corners cut off. But the overall feel of the setting with a cut-cornered stone will be similar.

I think an X-Prong setting with an X-Factor stone would be a beautiful combination! It's possible wf has photos of one they've done up for a customer so call them and ask.

wf does not carry radiants in-house so they don't show actual photos. They can call them in for you, But GOG carries some. 1.55ct I VS1 Radiant

GOG has started to carry these gorgeous Jubilee stones, another interesting squarish shape. Jubilee.

Thank you guys so much for your responses! The woman that I have been working with at Whiteflash has just sent me a few pics of the x-factor diamonds, so perhaps she may be able to find pics of prior mock-ups as well.

I will definitely look into it more.

Thanks for the suggestion on the Jubilee--that is a gorgeous cut!

Their x-factor stones are gorgeous, any one of them will be killer. Just buy the one that fits your budget the best. I prefer them over radiants by far if those are the choices.

Also check out the Cut Corner Square radiant and Princess of Hearts cuts on Good Old Gold. The POHs in particular are stunning.

Thanks so much....I had pretty much only been looking at WF, but GoG has some lovely choices as well. They told me that they were possibly discontinuing the x-factor, so these might be the only options they have...but nice to see some similar cuts on GoG--will definitely do more searching there!

I know you will come up with something beautiful!
